Starting Hourly rate: $15.00 with $1500.00 sign on bonus Fixed Schedule Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

- Responsible for supporting center compliance (Star Rated License, NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) Rules and Regulations, Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulation/Policies & Procedures) as part of the teaching team
- Responsible for maintaining active supervision of children and fulfilling the role assigned by Center Director, or designee, to maintain daily activity and functions at all times
- To support teaching staff with preparation of materials and activities for individuals, small and large groups of children according to curriculum
- To attend mandatory local and out of town workshops, conferences and training sessions as required to enhance job skills
- Responsible for attending Head Start/Early Head Start functions in which some activities may take place after Head Start/Early Head Start regular operational hours
- Assist in collecting monthly in-kind contributions from parents, vendors, community representatives and other service providers to meet the Non-Federal Share match (preparing classroom activities, stapling copies, hand washing, tooth brushing, fixing parent and classroom boards, etc.)
- Responsible for maintaining positive classroom interactions as it pertains to the Pre-K and Infant/Toddler Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS)
- Rides the bus on a rotating basis in the morning/afternoon or on field trips as assigned by Center Director to extend learning environment to the bus and assist as the bus monitor (only if transportation is provided)
- Assist in conducting daily health checks of children during arrival and departure
- Responsible for working extended day care as assigned by the Center Director (if applicable)
- attend meetings called by the Center Director or management designee
Minimum Qualifications
Must Have 2 – Year Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate and North Carolina Early Childhood Credential, 2-years’ experience working with children ages 0-5, good oral, written and organizational skills, and reliable transportation.
