Requirements/Duties
- Provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children aged 3 to 5 years.
- Provide daily communication with families regarding children’s activities, progress, and routine.
- Plan and execute developmentally appropriate, lesson plans aligned with early learning standards.
- Facilitate play-based learning experiences across key domains: literacy, early math, science, social skills, and motor development.
- Set up engaging learning centers (e.g., dramatic play, sensory, art, blocks, science).
- Observe and assess each child’s individual growth and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets state licensing standards and health guidelines.
- Supervise children at all times (visual and auditory) indoors, outdoors, and during transitions.
- Establish consistent daily routines and clear, positive behavioral expectations.
- Guide behavior using positive discipline techniques, redirection, and trauma-informed practices.
- Assist children with personal hygiene routines, including handwashing, self-sufficient bathroom use, and meal/snack times.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred: AAS or BS degree in Early Childhood or Related Field
Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma
Willing to attend colleges classes to earn an AAS Degree with tuition assistance
Criminal Background Check and Fingerprints (Prior to Day 1 of employment)
Medical Report and TB Screening (Prior to Day 1 of employment- paid for by Klingspor)
Drug Screening (Prior to Day 1 of employment- paid for by Klingspor)
CPR/First Aid (Within 90 days of Employment-paid for by Klingspor)
Preferred: Experience working with preschool aged children in a licensed childcare facility
