Requirements/Duties
- Responsible for maintaining center compliance (Star Rated License, NC Child Care Rules, Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulations/ Policies &
Procedures) as part of the teaching team - Responsible for using I-CARE, Inc.’s standard forms as created and implemented by program department
- A strong understanding of the Head Start Program Performance Standards, ICARE, Inc.’s written plans, and Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
- Responsible for using I-CARE, Inc.’s standard forms as created and implemented by program department
- Maintains a cooperative attitude of working together with the teacher, volunteers, parents, and program content managers in planning and implementing activities
- Promote the development of secure relationships with infant/toddlers assigned by assuring primary and continuity of care
- Responsible for feeding and diapering infants/toddlers according to their individual schedule, holding them every time they are fed and sharing information about their eating with their parents daily through a written daily report
- Responsible for ensuring child’s individual sleep patterns are recognized and responded to as needed
- Responsible for serving as an advocate for children and families in the community
Minimum Qualifications
Child Development Associate (CDA) or a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, North Carolina Early Childhood Credential or the ability to enroll within 6 months of employment, able to complete North Carolina Health and Safety Training requirements, ITS-SIDS training or the ability to complete within 90 days of employment, computer literate, experience working and toddlers, good oral, written and organization skills, reliable transportation.
